Application Engineering Principal Engineer

Role Summary

The Application Engineering Principal Engineer is responsible for supporting the sale and adoption of Synopsys products to improve performance in cost, quality, and development time for projects. The individual will work with various design implementations and methodologies, utilizing Synopsys tools at advanced nodes.

Experience Level

Senior level with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the sale and adoption of Synopsys products to enhance performance.
• Manage multiple customer activities concurrently.
• Conduct product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking.
• Provide training and technical account management to customers.
• Participate in account planning to develop solutions tailored to customer needs.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• Expertise in ASIC design using industry-standard tools (Placement, Optimization, CTS, Routing).
• Knowledge of RTL to GDSII full flow is preferable.
• In-depth experience with Synopsys Back end tools and advanced node methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer sensitivity and ability to handle multiple issues and priorities.

Education Requirements

BSEE or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of experience; or MSEE or equivalent with 5 years of experience is required.
