Job Title

Analog Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer TeraWave

Role Summary

Lead design and integration of high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for the TeraWave satellite communications program. Work on data converters, amplifiers, filters, ESD protection, biasing and power management in advanced CMOS and SiGe processes to meet system-level RF payload and terminal requirements.

Experience Level

Senior typically requires 10+ years of relevant analog/mixed-signal IC design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead design, development and integration of advanced analog/mixed-signal blocks (ADCs/DACs, amplifiers, filters, references, LDOs) in advanced CMOS/SiGe.
  • Use Spectre and mixed-signal/AMS flows, MATLAB, and related toolsets for modeling, simulation and verification.
  • Define block-level performance and interface requirements with system architects to ensure seamless RF payload and terminal integration.
  • Oversee layout, top-level integration, floorplanning and verification to support successful tape-out cycles.
  • Collaborate with validation and product teams to create test plans, support bring-up, debugging, silicon characterization and yield optimization.
  • Investigate and implement analog building blocks and mentor junior engineers on analog design best practices.
  • Support occasional travel (up to ~10%) and likely onsite work at a company site.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and eligibility:

  • 10+ years designing high-performance analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems.
  • Proven experience with high-speed data converters (ADC/DAC) design and silicon bring-up and debugging.
  • Proficiency with Spectre, mixed-mode/AMS simulation flows, MATLAB and familiarity with SystemVerilog-based modeling and verification.
  • Deep understanding of electromigration and layout-dependent effects, especially in advanced FinFET technologies.
  • Strong background in fundamental analog/RF building blocks: amplifiers, filters, oscillators, reference generation and power management (LDOs).
  • Experience with chip-level ESD protection design and verification is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and experience mentoring or leading engineers.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States as required by export control and hiring policy (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee).

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (required per posting).
