Analog Layout Staff Engineer

Role Summary

The Analog Layout Staff Engineer will be part of Marvell's Central Engineering team, responsible for the layout design of high-speed SerDes IPs and other complex analog circuits. This role ensures accurate and efficient implementation of high-performance analog circuits in silicon, addressing the complexities associated with advanced technology nodes.

Experience Level

Senior level with 6–10 years of experience in high-speed analog/custom layout development.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of next-generation high-speed SerDes IPs using advanced FinFET technologies.
• Designing and implementing complex analog/mixed-signal layouts across various technologies.
• Collaborating with global circuit designers to translate schematics into efficient layouts.
• Ensuring physical verification closure and resolving violations related to DRC, LVS, and ERC.
• Leading layout reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting best practices.
• Developing automation scripts to enhance productivity.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

• BE/B.Tech or MS/M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor process technologies and device physics.
• Proven experience in full-custom circuit layout and verification.
• Hands-on expertise in mixed-signal/analog layouts across advanced FinFET technologies.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and relevant EDA tools.
• Scripting skills (Perl, Tcl, SKILL) for automation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Self-motivated and adaptable in a dynamic environment.

Education Requirements

BE/B.Tech or MS/M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or related fields.
