Role Summary

The Analog IC Design Staff Engineer plays a crucial role within the Central Engineering team of Marvell Technology. Experience Level

This role seeks individuals with a solid background in analog design. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, supplemented by 5 to 10 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree/PhD with 3 to 6 years of experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Analog IC Design Staff Engineer include:

  • Understanding product requirements and executing detailed analysis on power delivery networks and signal routing.
  • Creating user-friendly system models for simulations.
  • Proposing design improvements for die, package, and PCB levels.
  • Correlating lab measurements with simulation data for continuous improvement.
  • Analyzing manufacturing variations and design constraints to enhance yield and product robustness.

Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Strong expertise in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in designing mixed signal circuits, including ADCs, DACs, and high-speed design techniques.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and familiarity with IC design tools such as Spectre, Spice, and Matlab.
  • Lab skills for evaluating prototypes against design specifications.

Education Requirements

Required education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by relevant professional experience. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are preferred for candidates with lesser industry experience.
