Role Summary

The Analog Design Staff Engineer will develop high-speed analog circuits for SERDES PHY IP, focusing on custom circuit design to meet complex requirements. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal power, area, and performance outcomes in chip design.

Experience Level

Senior-level, requiring a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in mixed-signal analog/custom circuit design.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing full custom analog circuit macros for SERDES PHY, including various components like PLLs and serializers.
• Collaborating with teams to refine implementations for performance targets.
• Overseeing verification strategies and ensuring adherence to design standards.
• Addressing physical layout processes and ensuring superior performance outcomes.
• Presenting and documenting design features and results for reviews.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications include:

• Bachelor's (BE) plus 5 years or Master's (MTech) plus 4 years in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of CMOS design fundamentals and analog circuit design in nanometer technologies.
• Experience with high-speed designs and protocols such as PCIe and Ethernet.
• Proficient in SPICE simulation and timing analysis tools.
• Knowledge of ESD/latch-up design verification.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or VLSI Engineering is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
