Analog Design Staff Engineer

Role Summary

The Analog Design Staff Engineer will lead the design of analog and mixed-signal circuits, ensuring high-quality designs meet performance targets and schedule commitments. This role involves collaboration across systems and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and enhance design methodologies.

Experience Level

Senior level, requiring over 7 years of experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

• Lead the design of analog and mixed-signal circuits, blocks, and subsystems.
• Develop architecture proposals and evaluate design trade-offs for performance, power, area, and cost.
• Perform circuit simulation, verification, and optimization using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Support tape-out activities, silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization.
• Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure design intent, robustness, and manufacturability.
• Define and execute validation plans to meet product requirements.
• Review design specifications, schematics, and test results.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects.
• Work closely with system, digital, validation, and product teams to resolve technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

Key requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; master’s or PhD preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC design.
• Strong understanding of transistor-level circuit design and analysis.
• Experience with simulation tools like SPICE, Spectre, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with silicon debug, characterization, and lab equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
