Role Summary

The Analog Design Staff Engineer at Synopsys is responsible for designing and validating high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits, focusing on SerDes interfaces. This role involves collaboration with international teams to innovate in analog design methodologies.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 5+ years of hands-on experience in analog circuit design is required.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Designing and validating analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Conducting schematic entry, simulation, and final validation of analog blocks.
• Collaborating with layout engineers to optimize layout designs.
• Developing and validating custom digital circuits for high-speed applications.
• Utilizing IC design tools and SPICE simulators for performance analysis.
• Engaging with international teams to share knowledge and solve problems.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• MSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in analog circuit design.
• Strong knowledge of deep submicron CMOS technologies.
• Experience with SPICE simulators and verification tools.
• Familiarity with IC design tools, including STA timing closure.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Synopsys EDA tools, Unix, and scripting languages (TCL, Python).

Education Requirements

An MSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent is required.
