Responsibilities
- Reviewing SerDes standards to define and develop analog sub-block specifications for Multi-Gbps NRZ & PAM4 SERDES IP.
- Identifying, evaluating, and refining circuit architectures to optimize for power, area, and performance.
- Proposing and implementing design and verification strategies using advanced simulation tools to ensure robust and high-quality designs.
- Overseeing physical layout efforts, focusing on minimizing parasitics, device stress, and process variation for high-speed circuits.
- Presenting simulation results and design data for peer and customer reviews, facilitating collaborative problem-solving and design validation.
- Documenting design features, test plans, and technical justifications to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Consulting on electrical characterization and proposing solutions for post-silicon design updates within SerDes IP products.
Requirements
- BE + 10 years / MTech + 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Deep expertise in transistor-level circuit design and sound CMOS design fundamentals.
- Hands-on design experience with at least two SerDes sub-circuits (e.g., equalizers, samplers, drivers, serializers, deserializers, PLLs, DLLs, bandgap reference, ADC/DAC).
- Familiarity with ESD design techniques, custom digital design for high-speed logic paths, and reliability-focused design (EM, IR, aging).
- Proficiency in schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification tools; experience with SPICE simulators and Verilog-A modeling.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, or MATLAB is highly desirable.
Education Requirements
BE or MTech in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
