Role Summary
The Analog Design Principal Engineer at Synopsys leads a team focused on developing high-speed SerDes technology and analog integrated circuits, driving innovation in the analog design R&D team.
Experience Level
Senior level with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Analog Design and at least 3-5 years in a management or supervisory role.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Directing and guiding a team of analog designers in the development of high-speed SERDES IP.
- Conducting design reviews and evaluating results from simulations and electrical characterizations.
- Presenting design results and technology assessments while making necessary recommendations.
- Selecting and developing personnel to ensure effective team operations.
- Creating schedules and action plans to meet project timelines.
- Reviewing documented design features and test plans.
- Ensuring adherence to processes that maximize design quality.
- Consulting on electrical characterization and proposing post-silicon design solutions.
Requirements
Must-have requirements include:
- B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MS in Electronics Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in Analog Design for High-Speed SerDes applications.
- 3-5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with transistor level circuit design and CMOS design fundamentals.
- Experience with SerDes sub-circuits and mixed-signal design knowledge.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Education Requirements
A degree in Electronics Engineering is required (B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MS).
