Analog Design Engineering Intern - ATD
Role Summary
Internship supporting analog IC design within the ATD team. The role contributes to defining, modeling, and verifying integrated circuits and works with cross-functional teams to meet product specifications.
Work is hands-on under guidance from experienced engineers, focused on technical execution and learning industry-standard design flows.
Experience Level
Entry-level - Internship. Intended for undergraduate students; professional experience is not required.
Responsibilities
Primary tasks the intern will perform include:
- Collaborate with business and system engineering to develop and refine design specifications.
- Analyze architecture trade-offs to ensure specification compliance, performance, and cost targets.
- Participate in design reviews and produce required design and product documentation.
- Support IC layout activities to meet performance standards.
- Characterize prototypes, develop test specifications, and coordinate with test/product engineering for releases.
- Develop and validate behavioral models.

- Familiarity with PDKs (Process Design Kits) and IC design workflows (preferred).
- Exposure to Cadence Virtuoso and related EDA tools (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and time-management to support on-time project delivery.
Education Requirements
Posting specifies candidates should be currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
