Role Summary

Integrate commercial AI tools and agents into existing VLSI design flows to improve engineering productivity. Join a worldwide R&D team responsible for deploying, monitoring, coordinating, and optimizing AI systems across engineering workflows.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 8+ years of professional experience in AI/ML system development and deployment.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include:

• Analyze VLSI design systems and methodologies to identify opportunities for AI integration and productivity improvement.
• Develop, evaluate, and deploy commercial AI tools within established design flows.
• Design and refine AI agents and intelligent chatbots to improve quality of results and reduce manual intervention.
• Coordinate multiple AI agents for higher-level process control and automate resolution of common tool errors.
• Select, clean, and preprocess data for AI tools and optimize system performance in real time.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize AI systems and resource usage.
• Train end-users and establish best practices for AI-enhanced workflows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Proven track record building and deploying AI/ML systems and commercial AI tool integrations.
• Experience applying AI to VLSI design flows or similar engineering toolchains.
• Proficiency integrating external tools with LLM agents and familiarity with the MCP protocol.
• Strong data preprocessing and model-output quality improvement skills.
• Ability to design pragmatic solutions and work with existing infrastructure without full rebuilds.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across global teams and vendors.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or ML deployment tooling (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with commercial LLM platforms and agent frameworks.

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
