Role Summary
The AI Silicon Design Engineer will work with a talented team at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to drive innovation and improve AI technology delivery. This role focuses on digital architecture, design, and implementation in a collaborative environment, supporting multiple projects.
Experience Level
This position requires candidates with 3-5 years of experience in ASIC design, possessing a strong understanding of digital design principles and methodologies.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this role include:
- Digital design implementation and micro-architecture
- RTL coding in Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Timing closure, including timing constraints and logic-depth optimization
- Design area improvements and quality checks (Lint, CDC, RDC, LCP)
- Employing low-power design techniques, including UPF
- Integrating subsystems and IP into SoCs
- Providing support for physical design and hardware modeling
Requirements
Successful candidates must have:
- Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL
- Knowledge of design QC flows and high-speed bus protocols like AXI
- Experienced with multi-clock / multi-reset design
- Familiarity with processor design and low-power design analysis
- Proficient in design tools such as Spyglass, Questa CDC, Conformal, VCS, Verdi, DVE
- Skills in scripting languages (Shell, Tcl, Perl, Python)
- Experience with version control systems (Perforce, ICManage)
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
