Role Summary

The AI Silicon Design Engineer will work with a talented team at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to drive innovation and improve AI technology delivery. This role focuses on digital architecture, design, and implementation in a collaborative environment, supporting multiple projects.

Experience Level

This position requires candidates with 3-5 years of experience in ASIC design, possessing a strong understanding of digital design principles and methodologies.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Digital design implementation and micro-architecture
  • RTL coding in Verilog/SystemVerilog
  • Timing closure, including timing constraints and logic-depth optimization
  • Design area improvements and quality checks (Lint, CDC, RDC, LCP)
  • Employing low-power design techniques, including UPF
  • Integrating subsystems and IP into SoCs
  • Providing support for physical design and hardware modeling

Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

  • Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL
  • Knowledge of design QC flows and high-speed bus protocols like AXI
  • Experienced with multi-clock / multi-reset design
  • Familiarity with processor design and low-power design analysis
  • Proficient in design tools such as Spyglass, Questa CDC, Conformal, VCS, Verdi, DVE
  • Skills in scripting languages (Shell, Tcl, Perl, Python)
  • Experience with version control systems (Perforce, ICManage)

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
