Job Title

AI Architect, Agentic AI for Chip Design & EDA

Role Summary

Lead the design and delivery of Agentic AI, generative AI, and machine learning solutions across the end-to-end semiconductor design lifecycle. Partner with design engineering, EDA, manufacturing, and data science teams to automate workflows, improve power/performance/area (PPA), reduce cycle time, and increase silicon yield.

Experience Level

Senior - posting specifies 12+ years of semiconductor industry experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and deliver scalable AI and software platforms that enable autonomous and optimized chip design.

  • Define strategy, architecture, and implementation of AI-driven semiconductor design and EDA solutions.
  • Develop Agentic AI and multi-agent platforms for automation across RTL, synthesis, physical design, verification, and signoff.
  • Build domain-specific LLMs, RAG systems, AI copilots, and code-generation tools for semiconductor workflows.
  • Apply ML, reinforcement learning, graph neural networks, and predictive analytics to design exploration, PPA improvement, and yield prediction.
  • Architect enterprise-scale AI platforms, data pipelines, APIs, and analytics infrastructure for EDA workloads.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into commercial EDA products and collaborate with foundry and manufacturing teams on DTCO and yield learning.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams; represent the organization at conferences and customer engagements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and proven experience; preferred skills listed separately.

  • Deep expertise in digital IC design: RTL development, synthesis, physical implementation, timing closure, verification, and signoff.
  • Strong AI/ML knowledge including Generative AI, LLMs, reinforcement learning, GNNs, and predictive modeling.
  • Advanced programming in Python and at least one of C/C++ or Java; experience building production-grade software and AI platforms.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale engineering initiatives and delivering enterprise software or automation systems.
  • Experience with enterprise data engineering, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and big-data tooling.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with EDA toolchains (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA) and developing domain-specific LLMs, RAG, or Agentic AI for engineering workflows.
  • Knowledge of 3D-IC, advanced packaging, silicon photonics, advanced process technologies, or foundry operations.
  • Track record of patents, publications, or industry-recognized technical contributions.

Education Requirements

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field (explicit requirement in the posting).
