Advanced Product Engineer-FPGA

Role Summary

In the role of FPGA Prototyping Product Engineer at Siemens EDA, you will develop and enhance complex computer-aided engineering design and manufacturing processes. You will utilize your extensive FPGA prototyping knowledge to address design and tooling challenges while guiding junior engineers.

Experience Level

Senior level; requires 7+ years of experience in FPGA prototyping or related fields.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with Application Engineering and customers to execute FPGA prototyping evaluations.
• Serving as a technical interface with customer engineering teams to define requirements.
• Executing complex FPGA prototyping tasks such as design bring-up and debug.
• Supporting deployment and integration of FPGA prototype systems.
• Applying interoperability methodologies across various tools and platforms.
• Partnering with Marketing, Sales, and R&D to align product capabilities with customer needs.
• Communicating technical issues clearly and providing actionable feedback.
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and documentation.
• Providing guidance to junior engineers and working independently on projects.

Requirements

The essential qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electronics Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in FPGA prototyping or related fields.
• Extensive knowledge of VLSI and digital design.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Understanding of large design partitioning and routing across multiple FPGAs.
• Experience interfacing with both low and high-speed peripherals.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electronics Engineering is required.
