TFM and PPA Physical Design Engineer

Role Overview

As a TFM and PPA Physical Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of the ACE CPU team, engaging in high-performance CPU design using cutting-edge process technologies. This role focuses on backend physical design methodologies and requires collaboration with design teams and industry EDA vendors to enhance tool capabilities.

Experience Requirement

An ideal candidate should possess a Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field.

Core Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and debugging tools and methodologies for backend physical design.
• Performing analysis related to synthesis, placement, floor planning, and static timing analysis.
• Collaborating with design teams to troubleshoot tool issues.
• Building tool capabilities in cooperation with EDA vendors for optimal CPU design.

Essential Requirements

Candidates should have technical expertise in synthesis, placement, CTS, and post-route optimization tools (specifically CDNS and SNPS). Familiarity with scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, and Python is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.

A Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a Bachelor's degree with substantial related experience (6 to 8 years).
