Test Engineer

The Custom and Industrial Power unit at Renesas Semiconductor is seeking to hire an IC Test Engineer at the Chandler, AZ site. The role involves researching product technical requirements, validating performance characteristics, and developing test solutions for high volume manufacturing. The Test Engineer will collaborate with design and application engineers to resolve product issues and improve processes.
Experience Level
Entry-level; Bachelor graduates with up to 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Develop ATE test solutions for new power management IC products.
- Support the development of semiconductor test plans for production.
- Utilize Automated Test Equipment to validate new product designs.
- Analyze data results and develop supporting documentation.
- Ensure process guidelines and specifications are implemented in test plans and hardware.
Requirements
The required qualifications are:
- MUST HAVE - Experience on Teradyne Flex test systems and IG-XL.
- Strong ATE test development and debug skills.
- Hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital, and mixed-signal ICs.
- PCB design experience and knowledge of signal and power integrity principles.
- Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit simulation tools.
- Familiarity with statistical data analysis tools.
- Programming skills in high-level languages such as Visual Basic or C++.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
