Role Summary
This internship offers students a hands-on opportunity to engage with advanced computer design and verification processes at AMD. Interns will immerse themselves in x86 core design verification within a dynamic team, gaining invaluable experience in the semiconductor field.
Experience Level
We are looking for undergraduate or master’s students currently enrolled in relevant disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, particularly those based in Romania.
Responsibilities
Intern activities will include:
- Developing key skills relevant to X86 Cores Design Verification.
- Receiving guidance for tasks while managing time effectively to meet established goals.
- Engaging in documentation, coding, and debugging.
- Participating in regular progress reviews with constructive feedback.
Requirements
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in relevant fields.
- Exposure to CPU computer architectures and familiarity with programming concepts.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming languages like C++ or System Verilog.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Perl or Python.
- Familiarity with Digital Design tools (e.g., VHDL or Verilog).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A demonstrated interest in processor architectures and digital design.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
