Staff / Principal Engineer - NAND FA

Role Summary

The Staff / Principal Engineer - NAND FA role is part of the Non-Volatile Engineering team at Micron Technology. This position focuses on integrating new non-volatile products into various system solutions, addressing product challenges to streamline development efforts while ensuring maximum value.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring 2 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this position include:

• Conduct system triage activities through failure analysis on NAND component and system-level.
• Drive issue-based taskforces to establish solutions for critical system development challenges.
• Innovate in system triage methodology to improve cycle time.
• Support NAND features applications in systems, enhancing validation processes during NAND development.
• Evaluate NAND vs. System performance sensitivity to catch issues early.
• Perform hands-on bench testing at various levels, including system and NAND wafer testing for issue debugging.

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

• Highly motivated with adaptability to a dynamic work environment, willing to extend hours as needed.
• Strong interest in NAND-system interaction with prior relevant experience preferred.
• Leadership skills in problem analysis and resolution, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Foundation in mixed-signal VLSI, including analog circuits and RTL design.
• Required knowledge of Flash memory architecture.
• Familiarity with bench testing equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) is a plus.
• Programming/scripting skills in C/C++, Python, Perl, or Verilog are preferred.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
