Staff Physical Design Engineer
Role Summary
The Staff Physical Design Engineer will be part of a Physical implementation design team, responsible for block development and full chip responsibilities from RTL to GDS. This role involves managing a team of engineers and ensuring high-quality work in physical design projects.
Experience Level
Mid-level; typically requires 5+ years of experience.
Responsibilities
The individual will:
- Contribute to physical design projects with minimal guidance.
- Solve problems of moderate complexity independently.
- Maintain a high quality of work and accurate timekeeping.
- Interact with team members to resolve challenges.
- Lead a team of 2-3 engineers and provide training to junior members.
Requirements
Must-have skills include:
- A degree, master's, or PhD in a relevant subject.
- Tapeout experience on various technologies including 3nm to 28nm.
- Experience with physical verification checks (DRC, LVS, etc.).
- Proficiency in tools such as Synopsys ICC, Cadence EDI, and more.
Education Requirements
A degree, master's, or PhD in a relevant field is required.
