Staff Engineer - High-Performance HBM Layout
Role Summary
The Staff Engineer in High-Performance HBM Layout will focus on IC layout design, verification, and project management within Micron Technology’s global teams. The role involves leading the layout design of complex analog, mixed-signal, and digital blocks to ensure high-quality designs meet project specifications.
Experience Level
Mid-level, with 8–15 years of experience in memory/analog/custom layout design across advanced CMOS process nodes.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Perform layout verification including LVS/DRC, quality checks, and documentation.
- Lead the layout design and development of various complex IC blocks.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality layouts meeting project milestones.
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with global teams.
- Manage multiple layout projects concurrently.
Requirements
Essential qualifications include:
- Expertise in Cadence VLE/VXL and Mentor Graphics Calibre for DRC/LVS verification.
- Hands-on experience in layout of memory/analog blocks.
- Strong problem-solving skills in physical verification.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience with tapeouts is highly desirable.
Education Requirements
BE or MTech in Electronic/VLSI Engineering is required.
