Role Summary
AMD, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. This role involves evaluating high-level designs through to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Sr. Silicon Design Engineer include:
- Overseeing definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Defining module interfaces/formats for simulation.
- Contributing to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
- Applying knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to design, develop, and test various AMD products.
Requirements
The following qualifications are required:
Education Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Specific skills required include:
- Logic and circuit design
- CMOS transistor design
- SOC or system architecture
- Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification
- Physical design of deep submicron digital ASIC chips
- Large-scale ASIC chip physical design
- ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis)
Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
