Role Summary
The role involves joining the Cores Power Management verification team as a Design Verification Engineer focused on verifying the power management functionality of next-generation AMD cores.
Experience Level
3 to 5 years of ASIC design verification experience.
Responsibilities
- Verification of power management features in complex CPU designs.
- Architecting and developing testbenches and their components for system management features including clock, reset, and power management functionality of CPU cores.
- Development and execution of comprehensive test plans, including functional coverage.
- Improving existing testbench setups.
- Adhering to coding guidelines and implementing a code review process.
- Collaborating with global design verification teams to execute verification plans effectively.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the design and verification lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with C/C++/SystemVerilog testbench development.
- Experience in coverage planning, coding, and coverage closure.
- Familiarity with x86, ARM, or any industry-standard microprocessor architecture and ACPI standards.
- Experience in clocking, reset, power-up sequences, and power management verification.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
