Sr. Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

AMD, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Product Development Engineer to design and test electrical/electronic components and systems for semiconductor products like CPUs and GPUs. This role involves managing product activities from definition and planning through production and release.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Developing and testing electrical/electronic components and systems for semiconductor products.
• Managing activities from product definition through production and release.
• Serving as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing teams during production.
• Performing product characterization to determine product performance and quality.
• Setting up automation tools for volume pattern conversion and production support.
• Maintaining production programs and debugging regression errors.
• Utilizing knowledge of computers, electronics, and engineering principles to support product development.

Requirements

Education Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.

Specific Skills Required

Position requires education or experience in the following:

• Logic and circuit design;
• CMOS transistor design;
• CAD tools;
• Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL;
• C, C++, Python, and Ruby;
• Linux and Windows internals;
• SQL.

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently.
