Role Summary
The Sr CAD Engineer at Micron Technology will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role involves providing production support by evaluating, developing, enhancing, and debugging both in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for the design, physical layout, and verification of CMOS integrated circuits.
Experience Level
Mid-level; 3-5 years of related work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Innovating to develop tools, flows, and methodologies to increase the design efficiency and quality of NAND/DRAM/HBM memory designs.
- Providing training, documentation, and support to end-users on new tools and methods.
- Collaborating closely with design, process teams, vendors, and customers.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- Excellent programming fundamentals.
- Experience with Unix and shell scripting.
- In-depth experience in SKILL and Python programming languages (or recent experience in C, C++, JAVA, Visual Basic, Perl, or Lisp).
- 3 years of related work experience.
- Masters degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering (CE) including VLSI circuit design and software.
- Experience with IC design CAD tools (schematics, layouts, simulation, and verification tools).
- Direct experience with CMOS implementation including area, speed, and power tradeoffs.
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Masters or Phd in relevant field or equivalent experience.
Education Requirements
Masters degree or equivalent experience is required.
