Role Summary
The Sr. Applications Engineer will be a vital component of the Siemens EDA field team, focusing on the Aprisa Place & Route offering. The role involves engaging with tier 1 customers, managing important customer relationships, and leading junior engineers in both technical and sales success.
Experience Level
Mid-level; 5+ years of industry experience is required.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Lead customer engagements and manage tier 1 customer relationships.
- Support and train junior engineers.
- Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and customer support teams.
- Contribute to expanding the Aprisa tool in the market.
- Travel to meet with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or VLSI.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Experience with Innovus, IC Compiler I/II, Aprisa, and/or Nitro-SoC.
- Understanding of RTL to GDS flows at advanced nodes.
- Expert-level scripting skills (TCL, command line *nix).
- Knowledge of Verilog and UPF data formats.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or VLSI is required.
