SOC Program Manager - Sr/Staff

Role Summary

Manage SoC program planning and execution within the Engineering Services Group (Program Management). Responsible for creating and maintaining plans of record—schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risk mitigation—through program initiation to delivery.

Coordinate cross-functional and external stakeholders, monitor milestones and spending, drive alignment, and implement processes to ensure on-time customer deployment.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with at least 3 years in project/program management and experience managing program finances and cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include program planning, tracking, and stakeholder management.

  • Define and execute program plans of record: schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risks.
  • Monitor program progress, milestones, and spending; report status to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate technical and programmatic activities across internal and external teams and senior leadership.
  • Manage program budgets and project financials.
  • Establish and improve program processes and governance.
  • Maintain program artifacts and dashboards (e.g., Gantt charts, status reports).
  • Use standard office tools to prepare presentations, reports, and program documentation.

Requirements

Must-have technical and program skills; formal degrees and certifications are listed in the Education Requirements section below.

  • Experience with the semiconductor/SoC development lifecycle and development processes.
  • Proven leadership and program management experience, including cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience managing operating budgets, resources, and program financials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Experience working in large matrixed organizations and interacting with senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with program management tools, dashboards, and Gantt charts.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field is required. Master's degree in a related field is preferred. PMP certification is listed as a preferred credential. The posting also specifies multi-year program management and semiconductor industry experience (examples: 3+ years program management; 10–12+ years semiconductor experience), and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degrees.
