The SoC Physical Design Engineer will focus on electrical analysis and verification within Apple's System on Chip (SoC) team. This role involves ensuring the performance and integrity of chip designs through rigorous analysis and collaboration with multiple engineering teams.
This position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience, along with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Key responsibilities include performing various electrical analyses at both block and chip levels, collaborating with CAD and technology teams for flow validation, and working closely with implementation teams throughout the chip design cycle to ensure successful sign-off for tape-out processes. Additionally, you will manage schedules and support cross-functional engineering efforts.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of computer architecture, circuit design, and low-power techniques. Experience with ASIC or AMS physical implementation and analysis flows is preferred, along with scripting abilities for automating verification processes. Familiarity with industrial EDA backend verification tools such as Redhawk and PrimeTime is advantageous.
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
