Role Summary

This position requires a self-motivated design verification engineer for the SOC team at Advanced Micro Devices. The engineer will work to enhance AMD's capabilities in delivering high-quality technologies to the market, with a focus on functional and performance verification.

Experience Level

This is a mid-career level role suited for individuals possessing a solid understanding of complex digital design and verification methodologies.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining tests for both functional and performance verification at the SOC level.
  • Building testbench components for next-generation IP support.
  • Improving existing test libraries for IP-level testing.
  • Closing verification quality metrics such as pass rates, code coverage, and functional coverage.
  • Providing technical support to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Successful candidates must exhibit a strong grasp of SOC architecture and experience with CPU/DSP processors. Essential skills include:

  • Proficient coding abilities in Verilog/System Verilog, UVM, and C/C++.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comprehension of design flow and verification methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with protocols like AXI, AHB, PCIe, and DDR is advantageous.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required for this role.
