Role Overview

The SOC Design Power Architect is responsible for defining and driving the power and performance requirements for platform hardware and software architecture features at Intel Corporation. This role involves developing integration roadmaps across different product platforms, analyzing power and performance bottlenecks, and collating relevant data to optimize overall power efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop tools to analyze platform power and performance.
  • Conduct power and performance modeling studies and root cause analysis for responsible issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create power and performance models and set benchmarks.
  • Research and implement voltage conversion technologies.
  • Provide projections for power requirements of platform ingredients and drive standard methodologies to reduce power consumption.
  • Propose new performance control concepts and aid in their prototyping and production implementation.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years' experience in circuit or logic design is essential, along with a background in programming and software development (Python is a plus). Experience in low power optimization methodologies and a strong understanding of power considerations at various levels are highly advantageous.
