Role Overview

We are seeking a Silicon Design Engineer who possesses expertise in various architectures including X86, ARM, or 8051, alongside familiarity with various interface protocols such as USB, PCI-E, and AMBA. The role involves executing design verification tasks, contributing critical technical insights, and improving product time to market.

Position Summary

This position requires a self-motivated engineer who can collaborate effectively with the team and demonstrate proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog for ASIC design. Engagement in authenticating and enhancing the functional verification processes is essential, providing the necessary guidance to ensure high-quality outputs.

This role is targeted towards candidates with a suitable mix of education and practical experience in the field of electrical engineering or computer science, especially in ASIC verification. Ideal for professionals looking to deepen their technical leadership skills.

Core Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Silicon Design Engineer include:

  • Collaborating with team members to enhance pre-silicon verification quality through current functional verification techniques.
  • Providing technical leadership for the Digital Verification (DV) team during Southbridge projects.
  • Independently executing various DV tasks and offering technical guidance to team members.
  • Engaging in the porting and creation of the DV environment, along with developing and implementing chip-level test plans.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Plaques in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, with a preference for a Master’s degree.
  • A robust understanding of ASIC design verification flows.
  • Experience coding in Verilog/SystemVerilog and familiarity with front-end design flows and C/C++ programming.
  • Knowledge of Perl, OVL, SVA, UVM, and script programming.
  • Experience with USB systems is a plus.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field, ideally paired with hands-on experience in digital ASIC/SOC design verification.
