Role Summary
The Silicon Design Engineer position involves researching, designing, developing, and/or testing electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role includes defining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, as well as contributing to the development of multidimensional designs and evaluating process flows.
Experience Level
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.
- Contribute to the development of designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects from high-level designs to synthesis and timing.
- Exercise judgment within defined company procedures to select evaluation criteria for results.
- Utilize knowledge of electronics, circuit boards, and design techniques.
Requirements
- Experience in hardware verification for ASIC development.
- Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design principles.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or TCL.
- Familiarity with CMOS transistor design and performance optimization.
- Experience with CAD tools for design and verification tasks.
- Ability to design using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Understanding of ASIC or FPGA design methodologies.
- Knowledge of back-end and front-end EDA tools.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field is mandatory.
