SerDes Applications Design Engineer

Role Summary

The candidate will be part of a team focused on SERDES interfaces across AMD products, playing a crucial role in delivering advanced high-speed interface capabilities.

Experience Level

We are seeking a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and collaboratively with engineers in design, verification, and validation teams.

Responsibilities

• Possess excellent knowledge of RTL-based design flows.
• Understand firmware and hardware interactions thoroughly.
• Engage in FPGA design and prototyping for various MAC or PCS functionalities.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the FPGA or ASIC design process and tool flow.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop transceiver solutions for multiple applications.
• Utilize lab equipment for silicon bring-up and validation.

Requirements

A strong analytical mindset with attention to detail is essential. Familiarity with industry standards such as Ethernet and PCIe is beneficial.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred.
