Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer, Product Engineering
Role Summary
The Staff/Principal Engineer will be part of the NAND Silicon Design Validation (SDV) team in Hyderabad, responsible for developing, validating, characterizing, and qualifying new NAND Flash memory products. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with various engineering teams and serves as the point of contact for critical product issues.
Experience Level
Senior Engineer: 3-5 years; Staff Engineer: 6 years; Principal Engineer: 10 years or more in NAND or related post-silicon validation.
Responsibilities
The candidate will lead validation projects and is responsible for the following key tasks:
- Leading validation projects from start to finish, including developing overall coverage plans and test development.
- Designing novel test algorithms and developing test programs for NAND validation.
- Conducting characterization, debugging, and validation of NAND against specifications.
- Collaborating with product engineering, manufacturing, and other teams.
- Using high-speed tester hardware for functional and design validation.
- Analyzing data sets to prove design margin and functionality.
- Assisting in NAND design bring-up and firmware changes.
Requirements
Must-have skills include:
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and characterization techniques.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in software development (C-based programming) and scripting (Perl, Python).
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Verilog, Synopsis VCS) is a plus.
