Role Summary

The Senior Silicon Design Engineer position requires a skilled engineer with a solid background in verification to enhance AMD's technology offerings. This role will involve contributing to product developments through design verification operations and supporting technologies that enhance efficiency.

This position is classified as Level - Mid-Career, suitable for individuals with relevant experience in design and verification engineering.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role include:

• Developing and maintaining tests for functional and performance verification at the core level.
• Creating testbench components for next-generation Intellectual Property (IP).
• Improving existing test libraries for better IP level testing.
• Creating hardware emulation builds to validate IP functional performance.
• Enhancing current hardware emulation environments to improve runtime performance and debugging capabilities.
• Providing technical support to other engineering teams.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Familiarity with SystemVerilog and verification libraries, particularly UVM.
• Background in Computing or Graphics is advantageous.
• Experience with OpenGL, OpenCL, or D3D programming is also beneficial.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required for this role.
