Senior GPU Floorplan Design Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a talented GPU Floorplan Design Engineer to design and implement leading GPUs as part of a new team in Bangalore. This role encompasses architecture, RTL, performance analysis, and physical design with a focus on feasibility studies and physical trade-offs.
Experience Level
Mid-level; requires 5+ years of experience in floorplan design, SoC planning, or ASIC physical design.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Working with architects and design leads to develop and optimize floorplans during early chip development.
- Driving area review processes and collaborating with the ASIC design team to improve area and floorplan.
- Addressing timing and routing congestion by influencing early design decisions.
- Building tools and improving existing infrastructure for optimizing chip area and execution speed.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- B.Tech./ M.Tech. with 5+ years of experience in relevant roles.
- Strong hardware engineering background in VLSI and/or Computer Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with chip-level floorplanning and physical planning.
- Solid understanding of timing, congestion, and physical constraints.
- Experience in Verilog, System Verilog, or similar HVL.
- Familiarity with CAD and physical design methodologies.
- Programming experience in Python, Perl, and C/C++.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- Experience driving large scale ASIC floorplan development.
Education Requirements
B.Tech or M.Tech in a relevant field.
