Senior Design Engineer

Role Overview

The Solutions Engineering (SE) team at Arm is focused on designing system-on-chip solutions using the latest Arm IP technologies. This role is for a Senior Design Engineer who is eager to apply their experience in a collaborative environment, contributing to high-quality silicon design.

Position Summary

This position involves writing RTL based on specifications, documenting the microarchitecture of IP or subsystems, implementing this architecture in RTL, ensuring design robustness through checks, and testing designs to identify bugs.

Experience Level

This is a Mid-Career level position requiring a solid foundation in design engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze specification documents to develop and write RTL.
• Define and document the microarchitecture of IP and subsystems.
• Implement microarchitecture in RTL according to ARM flow standards.
• Ensure high-quality design by utilizing ARM's flow checks (CDC, LINT, SDC, UPF).
• Run tests to uncover corner cases and identify all possible bugs.

Job Requirements

• Proficient understanding of hardware design and verification fundamentals.
• Experience with hardware description and verification languages such as Verilog and System Verilog.
• Strong programming skills.
• Proficient in scripting languages including Python, Perl, or TCL.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is generally expected for this position. Additional certifications in design engineering would be beneficial.
