Robotics and Industrial Solutions Engineering Lead

Role Summary

Lead a small engineering team to architect and deliver FPGA-centric solutions for robotics and industrial automation, covering RTL/IP development, HW/SW co-design, sensor fusion, and ROS2-based software integration.

The role combines hands-on engineering, system-level architecture, customer engagement, and creation of reference designs and demos.

Responsibilities

The role requires technical leadership, hands-on implementation, and customer interaction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and deliver FPGA-based architectures for multi-sensor robotics and industrial automation systems.
  • Design and develop RTL and reusable IP libraries, including sensor fusion and real-time control pipelines.
  • Lead HW/SW co-design, integrating FPGA solutions with processors, accelerators, and software stacks.
  • Perform hands-on RTL development, architecture definition, technical debug, platform bring-up and validation.
  • Support customer issue resolution and provide direct customer engagement during development and deployment.
  • Produce reference designs, demos, and solution collateral to demonstrate platforms and capabilities.
  • Lead, mentor, and set execution priorities for a small engineering team; drive Agile practices and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with sales, system architects, and represent the company at relevant robotics and industrial events.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Strong RTL design experience in Verilog/SystemVerilog with production FPGA delivery.
  • Experience in system architecture for robotics, autonomy, or industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of sensor fusion systems and real-time data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with ROS2 or comparable robotics software stacks and practical HW/SW integration experience.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers and driving technical execution.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in customer-facing technical engagements.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
