R&D Engineer Staff, PD PNR CTS

Role Summary

The R&D Engineer Staff will focus on physical design flows for silicon lifecycle management (SLM) IPs and subsystems, enabling innovation in semiconductor technology. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams and the development of advanced design and scripting methodologies.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing physical design flows for state-of-the-art SLM controllers and on-chip monitors.
• Executing RTL2GDS flows on advanced process nodes, with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Performing static timing analysis, synthesis, and layout closure using EDA tools.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate various IPs and optimize design requirements.
• Developing automation scripts to improve design process efficiency.
• Contributing to project planning and mentoring junior engineers.
• Ensuring compliance with design quality and reliability standards during verification.

Requirements

Necessary qualifications include:

• Strong experience in ASIC RTL2GDS implementation and signoff flows.
• Hands-on expertise in synthesis, timing analysis, and CTS tools.
• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting with TCL/PERL and custom flow development.
• Exposure to mixed-signal designs and low-power methodologies.
• Familiarity with EDA tools, preferably Synopsys tools.
• Solid understanding of OCV, POCV, and timing constraints.
• Experience with PVT-sensors or DFT technologies is a plus.

Education Requirements

BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
