The Product Engineer (Synthesis) will lead a team of engineers in addressing design challenges in Logic Synthesis. The role involves collaboration with R&D to drive the roadmap for next-generation RTL2GDSII solutions while working with the design community to achieve performance, area, and power targets.
This position is based in Bangalore, with additional opportunities to travel globally.
Experience Level
Mid-level, typically requiring 2-5 years of experience in Logic Synthesis flows.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team to solve complex design challenges.
- Collaborating with R&D on next-generation solutions.
- Working with design teams on critical design problems.
- Deploying synthesis solutions for customers using advanced technologies.
- Providing training and technical support for Siemens EDA tools.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, and VHDL.
- Strong knowledge of RTL2GDSII flow and digital design fundamentals.
- Previous experience in IC digital design and front-end EDA tools.
- Hands-on experience with commercial synthesis tools (e.g., Synopsys-DC/FC, Cadence-Genus).
- Experience with advanced technology nodes (7nm and below).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Self-motivation and teamwork attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- TCL, Perl, or Python scripting is a plus.
