Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Advanced Micro Devices Inc is seeking a Product Development Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing.

Experience Level

Level - Entry or Early Career

Responsibilities

• Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
• Conduct Pre-Silicon Test planning and validation.
• Analyze part failures leading to test improvements.
• Execute post-silicon responsibilities including microprocessor debug and analysis and characterization plans.
• Define architecture design, logic design, and system simulation including module interfaces for simulation.
• Evaluate process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
• Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of various factors.
• Utilize knowledge of computers, electronics, and design techniques in the development and testing of AMD products.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field required. No prior work experience is needed; experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
