Processor IP Design Engineer Staff/Sr. Staff

Role Summary

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on technical leader with a robust background in CPU and processor design. This position requires a strong focus on advancing digital design capabilities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Experience Level

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in digital frontend design or verification for processor IP development.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and accountability for the quality of delivery of design blocks within Synopsys’ design products.
• Author technical plans and specifications for assigned design functions while guiding team members through execution.
• Lead architecture, micro-architecture, RTL design, performance analysis, and verification processes for high-performance processors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on algorithms, methodologies, and system bring-up.
• Analyze and optimize processor architectures to ensure robust and efficient designs.
• Manage project requirements, resource planning, risk assessment, and quality management to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Create and review documentation including design/verification work plans and test reports.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Deep expertise in microprocessor, memory, and system architecture.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, C/C++, and scripting languages.
• Experience with industry-standard tools: RTL linters, simulators, and formal verification tools.
• Strong project management skills, including requirements profiling and schedule tracking.
• Ability to create and review technical documentation for diverse audiences.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields from a reputed institution.
