Role Summary

The E-characterization Engineer in the DRAM device technology group at Micron Technology will work with an industry-leading team on innovative technologies for future memory products. The role involves analyzing electrical characterization results to improve device performance and develop methodologies for device characterization.

Experience Level

Mid-level, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

The engineer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze advanced electrical characterization results to improve cell device performance.
  • Contribute to device development by optimizing test conditions and analyzing electrical test results.
  • Clarify problems in device development and feedback useful data.
  • Propose test structures for device characteristics and develop automation tools.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes of issues and improve yields.
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams including device integration, process development, and product design.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications include:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong background in semiconductor device characterization based on CMOS architecture.
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor device physics and DRAM characteristics.
  • Statistical data analysis knowledge.
  • Outstanding communication skills in both written and verbal forms.

Education Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or equivalent experience.
