Pre-Silicon Verification, Applications Engineer

Role Summary

As a Pre-Silicon Verification, Applications Engineer at Synopsys, you will focus on providing technical support for the Synopsys Verification Platform, primarily the VCS simulator. You will work closely with customers to analyze their verification methodologies and identify areas for improvement, while also collaborating with R&D teams to drive product development.

Experience Level

This role requires hands-on experience with various Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and programming languages, as well as a solid understanding of verification methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Providing pre/post-sales technical support for Synopsys Verification Platform.
• Analyzing and improving customers' verification methodologies.
• Deploying machine learning techniques to enhance chip development.
• Collaborating with R&D teams based on customer feedback.
• Participating in mentorship programs for new college graduates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with EDA tools like VCS, Verdi, VC Formal, and SpyGlass.
• Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM, VMM, and OVM.
• Proficiency in System Verilog and Verilog.
• Programming skills in C, Perl, Python, and TCL.
• Strong proficiency in Unix.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
