Role Overview

The Power and Performance Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing power and performance plans for Integrated Circuits (IPs) and Systems on Chips (SoCs). This role emphasizes optimizing the power and performance balance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet design objectives.

Working Environment

This position is based in California (Santa Clara), with additional locations in Arizona (Phoenix) and Oregon (Hillsboro). The role supports a hybrid work model that allows for a mix of on-site and remote activities.

Experience Level

This role requires a substantial level of expertise, ideally with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, and a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience.

Core Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Leading pre-silicon Power projections for Data Center products.
  • Identifying and implementing power and thermal optimizations.
  • Building and maintaining power models using various specifications and historical data.
  • Collaborating globally with various design and engineering teams.
  • Delivering power data for effective product design and optimization.
  • Enhancing methodologies related to power and performance optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • a minimum of 6 years of experience in related fields.
  • Experience with pre-silicon power analysis and modeling.
  • Familiarity with power-aware design and power estimation tools.
  • Proficient in programming/scripting, preferably in perl, python, or TCL.

Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
