Physical Design Engineer (Silicon Engineering)

Role Summary

The Physical Design Engineer will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop next-generation ASICs for deployment in both space and ground infrastructures. The role involves enhancing connectivity solutions and ensuring robust performance for the Starlink network.

Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with at least 1 year of professional experience in ASIC design and physical design flow development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct partition synthesis and handle various physical implementation workflows including synthesis, floorplanning, and timing verification.
• Enhance physical design methodologies and create automation scripts.
• Work closely with the ASIC design team to evaluate architectural feasibility and design targets.
• Analyze and resolve timing and congestion issues.
• Perform static timing analysis and address closure challenges.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and have hands-on experience in ASIC developments. Additionally, candidates should have a foundational understanding of EDA tools and digital design principles.
