Physical Design Backend Engineer

Role Summary

NVIDIA is seeking skilled Physical Design Engineers to contribute to the Networking Silicon engineering team. The responsibilities will include the physical design of complex semiconductor blocks targeting optimal power, area, and performance metrics.

Experience Level

This position requires proven experience in RTL2GDS flows and methodologies, preferably with a background in high-speed communication design.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the physical design of blocks according to specifications under challenging constraints.
• Handle complex timing and congestion resolutions.
• Participate in all aspects of physical design chip development: synthesis, power distribution, place and route, timing closure, and verification.
• Work effectively within flows development, ensuring high standards are met.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or possess equivalent work experience, along with familiarity with physical design EDA tools such as Synopsys and Cadence, and knowledge in PNR, STA, and physical verification.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
