Role Summary
The PCIe Verification Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams in the AECG Group to facilitate the verification of FPGA and ASIC products. The focus will be on ensuring successful first-pass silicon delivery by interacting with architects, IP designers, and product engineers.
Experience Level
This position is suitable for candidates with a Level - Mid-Career experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to understand new features for verification.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, factoring in feature interactions and software driver scenarios.
- Code UVM-based testbenches and verification components.
- Create and execute directed and random verification tests.
- Run regressions and debug failures to maintain high design quality.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in IP level ASIC verification and experience with Verilog, System Verilog, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Capability in developing UVM-based verification frameworks and automation of verification processes.
- Familiarity with simulation profiles and HLS tools; exposure to efficiency improvements preferred.
- Knowledge of Computer Architecture and systems concepts.
- Comfortable with Python and Perl, with scripting maintenance skills.
- Past experience supporting the ASIC Project lifecycle from planning to tape-out.
- Experience with PCIe, CXL, NVMe, or Ethernet protocols.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a cross-site team environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
