Role Summary

Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, is seeking an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the design and validation of high-speed interfaces and multi-protocol PHYs. You will work as part of a team focused on improving the quality of AMD's technology offerings.

Responsibilities

As an MTS Silicon Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • RTL design and validation for chip-to-chip interconnects.
  • Collaboration with the functional verification team to ensure high coverage and quality standards.
  • Analysis and resolution of Lint and CDC/RDC errors within components.
  • Development and validation of timing constraints across multiple clock domains.
  • Support and automation of the design process.
  • Post-silicon product bring-up and debugging.
  • Definition and documentation of ASIC development processes.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to tackle complex design challenges.
  • Utilization of knowledge of electronic theory in semiconductor manufacturing.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role, or a combination of education and experience that meets the criteria.

Education Requirements

Alternatives acceptable include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five years of progressive experience in a similar role.

Specific technical skills required include:

  • Experience with digital logic circuit design using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Capability to develop microarchitecture specifications.
  • Proficiency with ASIC design tools, including synthesis and static timing analysis.
  • Experience scripting in Python or Perl.
  • Familiarity with Unix or Linux environments for design flow management.
  • Experience debugging silicon integrated circuits.
