Role Summary
The Mixed Signal Circuit Design Analysis & CAD Engineer will join the 3rd Party Analog Mixed Signal IP Design Analysis and CAD team at Advanced Micro Devices. This team evaluates designs from external partners to ensure they meet specifications and align with AMD's chip workflows.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding the hardware chip development lifecycle from specification to silicon manufacturing.
- Analyzing electrical performance of Analog/Digital Mixed Signal (AMS) designs.
- Reviewing flagged issues and assessing design issues that need fixing.
- Developing and enhancing scripts and test cases to automate the IP design analysis workflow.
- Working with 3rd party IP vendors to review analysis results.
- Collaborating with internal teams for issue cross-referencing.
- Using automation to enhance IP design analysis methodologies.
- Employing physical verification analysis tools for hardware design assessment.
Requirements
Ideal candidates should possess:
- Strong hardware and software skills.
- Understanding of analog and digital transistor device behavior.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, etc.
- Familiarity with EDA tools and command line interfaces (UNIX/Linux).
- Research skills for root cause analysis on design bugs.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
