The Mixed Signal Circuit Design Analysis & CAD Engineer will work with the 3rd Party Analog Mixed Signal IP Design Analysis and CAD team at AMD, evaluating circuit designs from external partners and ensuring adherence to specifications and design requirements. The role involves developing analytical tools and working collaboratively with various teams to identify and resolve design issues prior to silicon manufacturing.
Experience Level
Entry-level to Mid-level; recent graduates or those with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Understanding the hardware chip development lifecycle.
- Analyzing electrical performance of Analog/Digital Mixed Signal designs.
- Reviewing and assessing flagged design issues.
- Developing and enhancing scripts to automate the design analysis workflow.
- Collaborating with 3rd party IP vendors and AMD teams across various locations.
- Using automation software to improve design analysis methodologies.
- Utilizing industry-standard tools for hardware design verification.
Requirements
Candidates should possess:
- A fundamental understanding of analog and digital transistor behaviors.
- Skill in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
- Familiarity with EDA tools for design analysis and verification.
- Basic experience with UNIX/Linux command line.
- Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
